Can we rely on Pakatan Rakyat to deliver us to the promised land???

As a precursor,we put forth 11 conditions for their perusal...

It is so easy and clear to see the winner of the next General Election. The winner will be the party which addresses the current problems with regards to the economy and the eventual cost of living. Forget about all the bickering with regards to religious and racial matters.

.Improving the Purchasing Power of the Rakyat.
Improving the cost of living need not be equated to bringing the cost of products down. It is not just that one item. We have to bring the cost of production down and the salaries of the Rakyat up. A 5% swing in both the respective direction will bring about a 10% increase in Rakyat Spending Power.

2.Removing the Subsidy mentality
Be brave, remove the susbisdy! If the purchasing power of the rakyat is increase by 10%, Subsidy can be reduce by 10%. It is a zero number game.

3.Reduce the BLOAT in the Public sector
All senior positions in the government will be replaced if the officer is more than 50 years old. They will not be filled, but the second man in the heirarchy will assume the position. No increase in pay.

4.GLC
No more political appointees into the board of GLC. All GLC must run on its own and have professional managers to serve. Each GLC will be responsible for their own bottom line and is answerable to the general public. Their accounts must be published twice a year for public scrutiny.

5.RELA
RELA to be disband.

6.De-regularizing government purchase.
Certain fundamental items in the government's spending to be de-regularized and made into an open tender item without the requirement for tendering cokmpany to be registered with the treasury or MOF. items like administrative items, pens, pencils, paper, paper clips. such standard items. They can be obtained via open tender.

The purchasing officer is fully responsible for ensuring of getting the best price. MACC to investigate on a random basis.

7.Be Responsible.
Once MACC initiate the investigation on any individual in the public sector or GLC, that person must immediately be suspended.

If cleared, they will resume their duties otherwise, they will be SACK and legal action will be taken against them for Fraud and Criminal Breach of Trust (CBT).

Culprits must GO TO JAIL.

8.MACC
MACC officers will be subjected to the law just like anyone in the country.

9.POLICE Force
Major revamp to redeem the respect our police force once used to enjoy. Corruption within the rank and file must be stopped.

10.People's Volunteer Corp
This corp is made up of respected individuals of various communities in the country. They are to be the check and balance of our POLICE forces.

11.Education Standards
We must start improving the education standards of the nation from NOW. We cannot immediately achieve the standards in the 1960s till 1980's but we can START moving in the right direction.

As anyone can see, there are plenty of issues which are close to the rakyats' heart. Each person in Malaysia is concerned about various issues. There is no need to add to this LONG list of problems with Religious and Racial matters.

When I went to school we never had problems with race or religion. Are we more religious NOW???? Are we more concerned about RACE now? WHO MADE these 2 items important????

Religion is something each indivdual deals with, personnaly with GOD.

RACE is something we are born with, It cannot be changed or modified. Being born into a race does not automatically make any one cleverer or brighter than the next. So why is this an issue???
