Rakyat to PM: “We feel your pain!

Even during these challenging economic times, kind-hearted Malaysians took time out from dealing with seemingly endless 2014 price increases to sympathise with the Prime Minister’s pain.
One empathiser told FMN, “Before May the PM used to attend all these exciting election rallies.  In those days not a moment went by where we didn’t see him photographed in the Straits Times next to a big cheque or launching some sort of expensive development.  Now he tells us we either help him pay for wasteful government spending or the nation goes bankrupt!   He is trying to placate the masses by announcing some unquantifiable austerity measures, but I don’t think many take him seriously.  It must be awful to lose all credibility, especially among the 47% of Malaysians who actually voted for him.  I really pity our PM.”
“My wife is a real handful,” said a sympathising husband, “but she is nothing compared to what the PM endures.  He must get the chills every time the First Lady jets off overseas in the taxpayer-funded official jet!   How is the PM supposed to get Malaysians to swallow the GST and rising prices and when his wifes off shopping and her children buying penthouses in New York?  I don’t envy him one bit!”
“Now our poor PM has to acknowledge the Allah Issue,”said a Klang businesswoman, “He knows that if he compromises in favour of Christians, right-wing UMNO members and Perkasa will stop supporting his leadership.  But his attempts to stay out of the controversy makes him look weak.  I really feel sorry for the man.  He might need to take his own Political Viagra!”  she joked.
“Well better the PM than me,” said a man heading off to work a night-shift to feed his children, “Thinking about the PM and how hard his life is makes me realise no matter how tough you think you have it, there is always someone worse off than yourself!”
